There Will Be Blood
Eastern Promises
No Country for Old Men
Gone Baby Gone
The King of Kong
Futurama: Bender's Big Score
Before the Devil Knows You're Dead

Shooter was NOT good.

Anyway. Line, I've seen about 7 of those films in your list, and I do agree that There Will Be Blood was pretty fantastic.

Into the Wild: 8/10 (Great acting, but not a fan of this movie)

The Prestige: 9/10 (Definetly one of my new favorites)

Meet the Spartans: 1/10 (Watched about 20 minutes, worst movie ever period)

Juno: 8.5/10 (Great film, though not my kind of film. Acting was very good)

Rush Hour 1 - 8/10 (good, fun film)
Rush Hour 2 - 7.5/10 (almost as good as the first)
Rush Hour 3 - 5/10 (seemed too forced, without question the worst of the three)

I just saw Rambo IV.

What can I tell you, it`s not a masterpiece of cinematic art, but for me it was an awesome film. It does try to make you pass all the violence as something you can exchange for the better outcome, a cheesy tactic, but I bought it non the less.

Awesome fucking movie, reminds of the good old times, with Schwarzenegger, Stallone, Van Damme, and the others.

Why can`t modern action movies be more like this ? I fucking loved the movie :3
Call me idiot for liking it, but I grew watching this type of films.

^Exactly. It's a throwback to good old proper action films from the 80's - loud and proud. Not overdone with CGI or cop out non-violent conclusion. It's a balls to the wall action film which at the same time (whilst it may take some artisitc liberties) highlights a real life situation of atrocity in Burma.

Of course I say this without having seen it but I've read enough about it and Stallone's intentions to know this is what he was hoping to achieve.

I'll be in the queue on Friday when it opens over here.

Rambo was fucking awesome.

A proper action movie. Yes the bad guys were depicted to be so bad and the Christian do-gooders so naive but pure in their beliefs but it just made it all the more satisfying when Rambo brought on the justice. A testosterone flick with superb gore. It was really harsh in places but necessary to show the atrocities going on in Burma (and elsewhere for that matter) - again making the retribution all the sweeter.
It could have probably handled being a little longer, and if I had one complaint it's that I wish there had been a bit more 1 on 1 action with Rambo in the final set piece rather than it predominantly being him behind the fucking great big gun.
Still a very satisfying movie.

Half Baked

I really enjoyed it. Many have probably already seen this movie, but if you havn't, it's well worth the hour and fourty-five minutes to watch it for a few good laughs. If you're into the ganja, you'll love it even more because even now, in 2008 as opposed to '92, much of what they're saying still applies to today.

I'll give it a 8 out of 10. :xyxthumbs:
