another thing ive heard is that balancing the bar on regular squats really work your obliques and can actually serve to thicken this area. not that good for a bodybuilder really...

I don't know my 1rep max for bench press or squat - long time since I've tested those. But I just got a PB on leg press - 1000lbs (450kg) x 8 reps at a bodyweight of 74kg

My best bench was not a one rep (I did about three.. needed to be tapped up on the third) , but I don't think I could have gone up any more other than five lbs or so.

Bench:
465lbs (~210kg)

Blake>> That's a sweet press right there :gaygay:

Rage>> Agreed. Fine squatting mate.

Prince>> Way to go on those deads man! 170 is mighty fine :2:

Bulky>> Your post is BS bro - sorry. You're not going to grow huge obliques from squatting. The "balancing" you refer to is kept through intra-abdominal tension. Go squat and stop fabricating excuses guys :tiphat:

i would have really thought that balancing a heavy squat weight could serve to thicken this area:e5dunno: but whatever, im not fabricating excuses, i could do squats, but i like the smith version alot better, and my legs sure doesent seem to have suffered from not doing free weight squats. so ill keep doing my thing and what works for me and u do the same:xyxthumbs:

Yea do your thing dude. You've been blessed with crazy genetics in the quad department and if size is your only priority there's no reason to squat for you. I love to squat. If I couldn't squat for some reason I think I'd stop training tomorrow :)

Bench: 225 lbs (102 kg)

Squat: 275 lbs (124 kg) x 3 below parallel

Deadlift: I have yet to 1RM this, but did 135 lbs 25 times.
