lifterdead: thanks dude.

Pickle: When I was training at the gym a couple of weeks ago I was actually surprised at how slack most people trained. I remember my warmup was what others were doing for legs (I did my complexes and some DB walking lunges). I also remember doing my jump rope warmup next to a guy also with the rope. He would jump for 10secs then take a break, then start again. He did that for 10mins and barely worked, I did 5mins non-stop at a reasonable rate.

Now I'm not super fit, just like I'm not super strong, but I do actually have a reasonable level of both. I could push myself harder but for me it is a gradual thing to get better. The rowing last night is a level I'm capable of without really having done much (I reached that level of fitness late last year after spending a month or two getting there with regular cardio) other than maintain it with weights.

120kg x5
137.5kg x3

60kg x10
80kg x8
80kg x8

SLDL
102.5kg x10
102.5kg x8
102.5kg x8

102.5kg x6

Nice work Timbo, the deadlifts were huge. Squats are looking pretty sexy as well.

Thanks Jono, Kurt and Ben. I'm not pleased with my bench not moving, but the gradual progress on the squat and deadlift is good.

Cardio this evening: 6000m in 30mins. Unlike the other evening this was harder to keep the pace, so couldn't stop for a drink, had to keep going.

Meh session. I only did cardio last night due to the downpour that left everything soaked and unsafe to lift on.

This evening everything was cold. I was rugged up, but I guess the sudden change from summer to winter in the past two days has left me unprepared. The heavy stuff just didn't feel right.

Plenty of warmups

C&J
20kg x5
40kg x5
60kg x4

Deadlift
100kg x5
120kg x5
145kg x5
165kg x3
185kg x4 - meh, was aiming for 8
185kg x1 - just to put the weight back

Decided to cut the session short there. Clearly not ready for training in a beanie and long shirts and pants.

Again this session was shit. I think I need to train earlier in the day now that winter has hit us. Although on the plus side I look more hardcore now that I'm wearing a beanie while training :borat:

Warmups

OHP
20kg x5
40kg x5
52.5kg x5
60kg x3
67.5kg x4 - half what I wanted :disgust:

Behind the neck jerks
67.5kg x6 - meh
67.5kg x8 - finally felt warmed up. Probably should have gone back to OHP's and got my 8.

Pullups - supersets
BW x5
10kg x5
20kg x5
30kg x5
35kg x4
BW x8
BW x8
BW x8

supersetted with

Dips
BW x5
10kg x5
20kg x5
30kg x5
35kg x5
40kg x5
45kg x4
BW x15

Wrist roller - thick bar
11.5kg x4 (pronated - supinated -pronated -supinated)
11.5kg x4

Deload this week. Got my bands setup a bit better this week. They were pulling the 32kg DB off the ground but not the 43kg, so I'd guess ~32kg for each band at the top.

Snatch
20kg x5
40kg x5
60kg x2

ATG squat
20kg x5
40kg x5
60kg x5
65kg x5
80kg x5
97.5kg x5

Band squats
80kg x10
80kg x10 - estimate that each band is ~30kg (32-43kg) so possibly 80kg bottom ~140kg top.

SLDL
100kg x12
100kg x12

Mainly because he was in Roadhouse, which we watched this weekend.

Got poisoned at work today so I don't think I'll be able to train for a day or two.

The antihistimine I took to counter has left me craving carbs all day. I've eaten twice as many as I normally would, and I haven't even had my evening meals yet.

Someone baked a cake at work and they'd put walnuts in it. I only realised after I'd had a piece. Normally I can smell them straight away, but didn't this time I didn't notice until after I'd already eaten them.

I don't know why I was so hungry for carbs, probably something to do with my blood sugar levels. Usually they have the opposite effect, I agree. I think the drowsiness and the other side effects just tricked me into thinking I was hungry.

Felt a bit better today, but my typing and thinking has been all over the place. Lifted weights in a long session that was very satisfying but slow paced.

Lol. Here I was thinking you'd been poisoned with some nasty agricultural shit and it was fucking walnuts!

Sucks to have killer allergies like that. Hope you're all good soon.
