Nice bench volume Timmeh, and you're so manly looking in that vid that I just want you to hold me until all my worries go away.

Lionheart and Samoan: the video music is "The Blood of Cu Chulain" from the Boondock Saints soundtrack. It is essentially traditional Irish music. Word of advice: don't criticise the Irish! The last people to do that ended up getting blown up!

Plus I hate the Rocky soundtracks. Eye of the Tiger is just lame as a workout track, aside from the opening 30secs it is cheesy pop music, not lifting music.

El Freako: Your wife clearly wants a bisexual threesome........ :bitenails:

PV: Squats are all coming back. Hopefully the hammy continues to improve.

Samoan: Not sure I think of that as training music. Though the training montage is a classic!! I love the supermans he does.

DA: Thanks dude!

Didn't train last night. Built a pool instead. So plenty of shovelling of sand and lifting of beams and metal liner and the like. Hope I get to train this evening, but the pool isn't quite finished yet and needs a fence. Fencing is one of the tougher jobs to do by hand. Should be good cardio.

Didn't lift last night. Built a fence instead. Got a good pump and sweat going ramming the dirt. People were surprised that rammed earth was as sturdy as concrete.

^^ I'm sorry that physical labour isn't worthy :bitelip:

I've gotten really lean in the past doing manual labour (as long as I didn't drink beer afterwards). Plus it actually achieves something usefull.

Even on the first rep of the hacks it looks like there was some slight flexion. Your hips looked like they tucked a bit when you squatted down.

^^ So it wasn't just me noticing that. I couldn't be sure. I think it is hammy tightness as it doesn't appear in my overhead squats, or the lighter sets of that hack squat. I'll also see what I can do about that row. Looked again in slow motion last night, appears there is some rotation, as well as me dropping the leg away. I'd prefer to do this as a supported row, so I'll either drop the weight off or look at modifying the lift (or both as you suggested).

Thanks again for the input Tristen!!! I also started doing my stretch/yoga thing again last night to try and help with the mobility at the hips.

Ok also lifted last night. It was a bit hot so I changed the parameters a bit. Bordering on PB territory for chins and dips. Previous best on dips was 55kgx4 back when I was 8kg lighter. Pretty pleased with this!!

Isoholds (10sec)
2.5kg x5

W holds (10sec)
2.5kg x5
6kg x5
6kg x5
6kg x5

Chinups (deadhang)
BW x5
20kg x5
30kg x2
40kg x2
45kg x2 (normal reps)
50kg x1
55kg x1 (PB)
20kg x7

Dips
BW x5
20kg x5
30kg x3
40kg x2
45kg x2

55kg x1 (not far off a PB!)
