Samoan: Lower back was fine. Gotta remember that this is 80% of max, which is what I should be able to do 6-8 reps with. Although I'm thinking I'm going to phase out GM's. As soon as I start to get a bit winded I think that my form will go, which I don't like the idea of.
Lionheart: SOME?!?!?! :angrydude:
j/k dude. I have dropped a fair bit of weight off the bar/rope/whatever to come back to 80%. This is so that I can train similar movements at every session and not burn out.
El Freako:
Finally got a nice evening to train. Still sweated like a pig. Ironically pigs can't sweat as they don't have sweat glands, that's why they roll in mud.

80kg x2 these felt heavy and hard, not sure if that is because I haven't C&J'd in a fair while or that I've overestimated my max. Although I did estimate based on a clean I did not long ago.
Nice work there timbo, I'd love to train with you for a week and get down good form on those excersises. and I can teach you to train in 40+ C degrees weather like a man or watch me fall out from heat stroke
Samoan: I'd love to have a training partner as strong as you so that I could push myself. And yes it is a bit lame with the heat, but I do have a job I'd like to be able to do without being dehydrated (or having bathroom breaks every 10mins due to the excessive water intake).
El Freako: The elbows just don't seem to like any of the tricep extension exercises. It used to be only skull crushers, then any open kinetic chain freeweight tricep exercise. Close grip bench seems to be the only OKC exercise for the triceps that doesn't aggrivate the elbow. But give me bands or a cable exercise and they aren't a problem. So I would say it is the decelleration forces that are the issue.
I've got a light frame so I tend to notice crap exercises and poor form sooner than most. On the plus side I've talked my brother into going to the gym this evening. So we will hit a commercial gym hard. Probably will hit it again before work tomorrow as well. The only upside of travelling for work!
Stupid internets lost my last post!!!! :angrydude:
Skeptic: I made a really humorous post about your typo. Seriously it was rolled gold comedy :gaysign:
Samoan: I said I didn't think it was just warming up but my shitty joints at fault. But it was good to know that even big guys with big joints like you still get the same issues.
Now I gave this big explanation about how last night I trained with my brother at a small gym in the city. We suitably impressed the natives with our big lifting. My brother hadn't worked out in ages so I mentioned he did a BW bench (90kgx4). Oh and he wants me to get serious and qualify for nationals in weightlifting.
Can't be bothered writing it all again so here is the cliff notes.
Snatch
70kg x2 x2 x2
Overhead squat
90kg x1
missed the next set at 95kg and decided I couldn't just keep dropping missed lifts
SLDL
used a crazy bar different from the snatch one that may have weighed anything from 10 to 20kg
So ~115kg x3 x3 x3
Front squat
to make up for the no dropping policy
same lame bar ~115kg x2 x2
DB bench
heaviest they had 45kg x5 x5
Pullups
10
8
Then we got kicked out because it was closing time :bball:
It's about time my new broadband internets arrived. That way I wouldn't lose valuable posts like the last one. Seriously it was one of the best posts I've made and probably one of the best in internet history.
PV: I just love to train in gyms but they always remind me why I don't train in them. I'd like to think that I'll find a place that I would like to train other than my backyard.
Samoan: Don't worry about sending your pic. I just mentioned we were buds and they offered to change to a better ISP for me. You are Chuck Norris if he were more manly!
Hypo: You bet Steve! After all those pulls it is amazing how hard any other back work is. Normally I'd be tying weights to me, but there was no way that was possible after that session.
tkD: I don't take time off from the iron, it takes time off from me!! Nah I'm still training Dan, and I'm exploring competing in a lifting event mid year. My brother wants me to qualify for nationals so I'll have to try and be ready for a state meet.
Yesterday was a lovely day to train, I was tempted to do a long session as a result. But I kept it reasonable. I'm going to lift +upper/lower sessions rather than essentially fullbody with this as my shoulders aren't feeling the best from regular chest work.

80kg x2 last set felt good, so obviously more regular lifting will help
