^^ I'll forward you (and anyone else who sends me their email) the excel sheet.

I was trying to find my old training logs and found heaps of training templates in excel files. Even found an HIT template :keke:

Jono: those thick bar holds were tough and my forearms are sore today. I've found pulling from the pins so that the ROM is short helps a lot in terms of working the grip.

Ben, Kurt; email on its way.

Kai: I meant I got the bar off the floor but couldn't complete the pull past that. Although turns out I have done more sessions this week than I thought, so probably had another day of rest due there somewhere.:borat:

Vic: Lets hope all this work results in some actual PB's soon! :gaysign:

Cardio this evening while I was cooking dinner.

6200m in 30mins on the rowing machine.

Finish heart rate was 142bpm and 5mins later it was 105bpm.

Sent Jono.

You may want to remove your email from here before someone signs you up for a whole heap of dodgy porn and personals.

Well aside from the ones I've signed you up to :borat:

hmm that sucks. for me the hardest part is getting the bar up to your knees, everything after that i got strength like a rock. prob. because of my hight (6'2)

^^ I think height isn't usually the issue, it is usually your relative leverages. So a longer torso and you have to have more hip strength to get the bar moving, stocky legs and you can squat it up which requires more quads, etc....

Didn't really seem to have a heap of energy this afternoon. Guess it is just the field work I did yesterday. Walking transects to take trial measurements isn't the least tiring of things to do.

Snatch
20kg x5
40kg x5
60kg x2
65kg x1
70kg x1
75kg x1
80kg x1 this was piss poor as it really lacked any speed, didn't bother with 85kg as planned.

Pullup
BW x3 2 sets
20kg x3
27.5kg x5 3 sets

Bench
60kg x5
80kg x5
100kg x2
110kg x2
120kg x1
125kg x1
130kg x1 this was a good rep but a funny thing happened. The lift stalled halfway and yet I felt like I had it. Couldn't figure it out and was pressing like mad. I had caught on the hooks and then moved past them at the last second. No doubt about that being a solid hard rep!!

Fatman pullup
20kg x15
20kg x10

Pushup
20kg x15
20kg x10

Skull crusher
42.5kg x10 2 sets

BB bicep curl
42.5kg x10 2 sets

Pickle: The rep was so solid, but if I had taken any longer I was going to have to lower it to the safety pins.

Miami: I'm a regular for training with no energy. The bane of having a job and fiance demanding attention. I need to get more sleep.

Didn't do the C&J today as it was raining and was too slippery.

Front Squat
60kg x5
80kg x5
100kg x2
110kg x2
115kg x2
120kg x1
125kg x1
130kg x1

Front squat holds
135kg x10 sec

Zercher squat - holy posterior chain Batman!!!!

I had planned to use 60kg and was just using the 35kg as a warmup when I realised 5 reps in that I'd battle to get 20 with this weight.

Good bench single Timbo, and pretty impressive that you finished it after pushing against the hooks for a few seconds.

Cheers for the email too.

Thanks for the comment guys.

I trained, I swore, I got swole.

This lifting thing seems to be something I struggle with. I took a week off and yet I didn't seem to get a boost out of it. It seems that I'm a whole heap of suck at lifting. I blame the entire thing on my crappy genetics and my ambivilence to focusing solely on lifting.

But why continue?

Is it the fact that I was the skinny kid and I'm dead scarred of being that guy again?

Is it the fact that most of the people I know are fat, innactive and lacking any level of sporting ability such that I don't want to become like them? (I'll be fair and say that I have a few active friends)

Is it the fact that I just love lifting weights?

I think I am consoled and driven by the fact that I'll never be great at lifting. Driven to do better. Consoled instead of frustrated as my totals fall short of my expectations. I am not an average person. An average person would balk at the dose of iron I partake of. My iron feats are outside of the realms of the normal persons understanding, as understood from the question "how much ya bench?".

The determination to lift is almost innate due to my love of lifting. That hard rep, that last set, that exercise at the end of the session, they all fulfill part of the journey I'm on. It is my journey and I am determined to keep going.

But what of my external motivators? What raises my own expectations? Who and what can inspire me to set new paths to travel? It is the real lifters. Those that also travel the road with that determination to be better than the day before.

I lifted today. It was fun.

^^ I'm saying I'm frustrated that I'm not better but I can live with it as long as I can keep lifting.

Just as I thought, you suck. :p

Nah I hear you mate. I was the tiny kid too. My lifts are still going strong but I cop constant grief from my wife about my appetite, bulk and obsession with the gym. Yet I weather the storm and keep on lifting because I can't see my life without it.
