Ben: or just by being able to spot trolls and JornT accounts.

Kai: They are so different. Having to stop and pause while sitting back into the squat really changes the dynamic.

Ok some shitty news. Buck's night yesterday and with much drinking comes much bravado. I tweaked my injured knee when we were doing the Sumo-Suit Wrestling. I don't know how bad or what, but it doesn't feel right. Probably just a light strain on the LCL and probably from the scar tissue still floating around, but still annoying.

The knee isn't swollen or sore at the moment, but I do notice it taking the stairs. This may be a pretty major setback in my training. I was on target. At least I should pwn the bench in the next month!!!

We've got the in-laws here so I tried to blast through the session. I was amazed at the way the higher rep deadlifts hit me hard. These were probably a 10-12RM (hard to say as I've always had more top end than reps on deadlifts) yet had me seeing stars. Did them because the SLDL was just not taxing the hammys enough before the form would break down.

SLDL
60kg x5
100kg x5
120kg x3
140kg x2
150kg x2
155kg x2
157.5kg x2

Deadlift
140kg x8x2
140kg x6

Split squat
65kg x2x8

SL DB calf raise
22kg x6
42kg x6x4

SL Hammy curl
20kg x4 - these aggrievated my knee injury from the weekend. Everything else was fine.

Didn't get a chance to comment last night:

Philo: I don't mind rowing or cycling. Running I used to love, but I can never push myself unless it is sprints.

Jono: I need to be more consistent with cardio. It is probably one of my weak points.

Bulky: Thanks dude. You may also notice the deadlift session with higher reps. The videos that you and Jim Wendler posted of higher rep deadlifts inspired me. I haven't done anything over about 3 reps on deadlifts in years.

Jono: lol!! My legs are stiff today too :keke:

Ben: I'm hoping it translates to a PB.

Kurt: I'm still not a fan of it. Someone recommended it in our metal debate....... Amon Amarth however rocks :headbang:

Bulky: fatmans are a great exercise. I'm always surprised at how hard they are to do.

Kai: Is that I comment on how mundane the workout was? Because I would agree that it wasn't esoteric.

Jono: Actually the pullups are feeling vastly different now. I'm treating them as an accessory rather than focussing on them and I'm actually making better progress.
