Ben: Yeh but you don't suck at deadlifting.

Mike: You may have to wait awhile as I'm unlikely to lift much over Xmas or when I go on honeymoon. Unless I just do the 5/3/1 and do no accessories......

Ben: Haven't ordered it yet. I enquired with the Australian Inzer site and they seemed prompt. But we have just paid house deposits and stuff, plus we will be away for a few weeks, so I'll leave it until we're back at the end of Jan.

Tonight was embarrassingly light, yet I couldn't get many reps on the last set. I really can't get over how few I got. I guess I'll get better over the coming weeks/months.

Kai: Skipping is a great warmup, and it is helping with my general conditioning.

X: Yes I aim to get plenty of cardio.

Hammys were still stiff from the other day and not really up to training. But since I wasn't going to be able to train tomorrow, and I'd like to get another week of this done before Xmas, today had to happen. So took a page out of Jim's book and just did the basics and got out of there.

Ben: I was aiming for 10 since I was fresh, rather than normally having pulled 8 sets >80% and 4>90%. So it feels kinda lame. But then again that is one of the reasons I'm doing 5/3/1, because I suck at a few things this program addresses.

Kai: Thanks dude, things are going well, been married a month and had plenty of breaks and another one coming after Xmas. You?

Last day of the first week, it blew a gale here this morning and then pissed down with rain. I was afraid one of the trees was going to take out the house, but it was all good in the end. Just really humid when I trained which really sapped the energy.

Week off for Xmas. Don't know if I gained weight, I was actually lighter at my parents place before lunch (my brother and I had a weigh-in). Squatted today as it was the first day that wasn't 44 degrees celcius in the past 3 days.

Yesterday 30mins of rowing (in the aircon and still came out looking like I'd jumped in a pool).

No. What happens is that I tend to drop forward as the first motion rather than push through the heels. Something I noticed in a vid I took. When the weight gets heavy this is leading to a fail out of the hole. I used to have a bad problem of squatting on my toes, but I cured that with Front squats. This is more a problem with my squat motion that I just have to be concious of.
