You're in the navy and you can't swim?

I'm actually petrified(sp?) of the water ironically. I could pass the swim qualification that was required and that was it. I'd like to learn to be comfortable in the water and actually swim however.

My current workout layout isn't actually set yet. Right now I'm going to for sure do:

Week 1: 15 reps
Week 2: 12 Reps
Week 3: 10 Reps
Week 4: 6-8 reps
Week 5: Repeat

I dont know how I'm going to have the body parts split up right now, I do know I'm going to add some intensity crossfit sets in there at the end of some workouts. Also I'll be hitting the cardio pretty heavily, at least an hour a day a few times a week. Let's see where this gets me.

My diet will be consisting of your basic good stuff. I haven't really eat much protein at all for over 2 months, let alone any thing healthy or good for you, so hopefully the full leap into eating 225+ grams of protein a day will do some good for my body and I get some good results. I'm not going to be lifting for numbers at all, at this point in my life I just don't care if I go in there and bench press 185lbs for 4 sets of 12. My goal is to get lean fit and very healthy. I figure it will off set the heavy drinking well.

That's all for now, if anybody has any comments or suggestions feel free to add them.

Goddammit, another crossfag.

:shakefist:

I wont be doing an entire crossfit routine so calm the f down. I'll just be adding a few of their "giant" sets in there at the end of a few workouts for some additional cardio.

stop judging me.

so yea, updates. So in the long run I continued to be lazy and ended up going about 5 months without exercising. However, about 4 weeks ago I started lifting weights again, big numbers everywhere (sarcasm) and this is my 3rd week of dieting.

Thus far I'm down 8.5lbs in 2 weeks of dieting with noticable change physically. Strength gains are climbing weekly and my endurance level and cardiovascular health are improving by leaps and bounds weekly as well.

I've been including long distance running in all my cardio sessions, but not alone. Before hand I'll either do HIIT cardio or the stair stepper. For example today I did 20 minutes stair stepper (500 calories) and 20 minutes running from a range of 6.0 - 10.0.

My diet is shrimp, chicken, turkey breasts, oatmeal, and brown rice. That's about it. I've learned how to cook pretty well though and can do quite a bit with so little.

That's all for an update as of now, I'll keep you guys updated on the diet.

Did legs today, first time I've done legs for several months and since I've been back in the gym.

4 x10 of Squats supersetted with 4 x10 of Seated Calve Raises
3 x3 Sets of Box Squats supersetted with 3 x10 of Box Jumps (some plyo work)

4x 20 Leg Presses supersetted with 4x 10 box jumps
3x 15 Leg Curls

Cardio today was

20 Minutes Stair Stepper about 2 hours before workout, then 20 minutes incline walking immediately after leg session.

Tomorrow will be interesting, I'm sure my walking ability will be shitty.

Tim - I don't think so unless you're reffering to the lower back problem I've had for years.

I'm going to see how my back fairs with the squats. However I wont be doing any deads, rather not push it too much.

Prince - yes my legs are very stiff, even sitting is difficult considering my glutes are pretty sore. I do miss the feeling of sore legs though, it makes me want to train legs more often which I'll be consistenly doing from now on. The 2 days afterwards do make cardio a little more difficult but it's worth it.

Todays training

Bench Press
1st set, 12 reps drop set to 10 reps Supersetted with Standing Ez Bar Curls x10 reps
2nd set, 3 reps drop set to 10 reps Supersetted with Standing Ez Bar Curls x10 reps
3rd Set, 8 reps drop set to 10 reps Supersetted with Standing Ez Bar Curls x10 reps
4th Set, 6 reps drop set to 10 reps Supersetted with Standing Ez Bar Curls x10 reps

Incline Db Pres
4 sets of 10 all supersetted with 4 sets of Seated Hammer Curls x10 reps

That was it for lifting weights, short, simple, and to the point.

Cardio - it was a nice day so I went for a 3 mile run. Shortly once I'm a little leaner I'm going to start running barefooted and shirtless on the beach to work on my tan and for the obvious need of a tan considering I work 10pm to 7am.

Post workout meal was some oatmeal and tuna.

Tomorrow is my weigh in we'll see how much I'm down after the third week of my diet. I can definitely see bodyfat coming off, ab definition is growing faster than it ever has as with every other part of my body.

I can still throw around the 100lbs which isn't too shabby. Not the 125s like I was tossing around like before but still respectable. The larger compounds have taken the bigger loss. All in due time will I gain some strength back though, I don't really care I'm just trying to get ripped.

possibly, I don't know a time frame but most likely when I get my new computer delivered to me. It's suppose to be delivered on the 15th but has already been delayed once, so whenever I get it I'll probably post a few pictures. In all honesty I have nothing impressive at all. I look like a normal guy with above average strength.

^^ Yes the back problem was what I was thinking of. I've met a few guys now that are ex-powerlifters or similar who have bad backs. All had a few things in common, and now share something else in common.

Best to look after your back!!
