Your running is intense. I'd pass out trying to keep up with you. :hsughr: Good work on those dips. Did you do any warm up before those? I'd be scared to tear a muscle doing that sort of weighted dips for so many reps.

Fantastic sessions Glex. Good job on those heavy maxes on bench.
Dips look good too - looks like you're trying to compete with me on those too! Grrr.
Strength is coming on real nice. Again with all the cardio you do too - your energy levels are great.

Hypo: Thanks :tiphat: I hope to get more reps in two weeks or so...

Mak: I can do overhead extensions with the 100s, so maybe we'll have to have a tri-off :hsughr:

Pain: Yeah, I did two sets of 15 cable rope extensions at 40 pounds or something to warm up a bit, plus the warmups on dips itself. It doesn't seem to bother me...and after seeing future do dips with 3000 lbs I'm not too worried about tearing anything :ughnoes:

Rocky: My bench has decreased, though :tear:

Dan: You can run :hsughr: And thanks :tiphat:

Lionheart: Thanks, they're going well :coolguy:

Ironheart: Things do seem to be going well lately, thanks for noticing :2:

Next time I do dips, I'm gonna bring teh camera :hsughr: ...if I can find it; it's not mine, and it's gone MIA :ughnoes: I think Sara might have it.

Long day today:

25 March 2008

Swimming:

Swam for about a half hour. I didn't count laps, but it was probably around 1000 yards again. Maybe a little over.

Then immediately after, I went over to the gym:

Deadlifts
135 lbs x 10
225 lbs x 8
315 lbs x 4
315 lbs x 4
315 lbs x 4
I think 315 is the most I've pulled strapless, and it wasn't all that bad on the grip :tiphat: It was hard doing these after legs yesterday.

DB Shoulder Presses
60 lbs x 10
60 lbs x 10
60 lbs x 10
60 lbs x 10
My shoulders were worn out from swimming. Oh, and my left shoulder is still a little sore from what I did benching. It'll be fine, though :xyxthumbs:

Pullups
BW x 8
BW x 8
BW x 8
BW x 8

BB Rows
135 lbs x 10
185 lbs x 10
185 lbs x 10...drop 95 lbs x 20
I know I just swam and deadlifted and pulluped, but I need to bring these up :disgust:

Superset
DB Side Laterals
...............DB Rear Laterals
20 lbs x 15.........................20 lbs x 15
20 lbs x 15.........................20 lbs x 15
20 lbs x 15.........................20 lbs x 15

Abs

Farmer's Walk Fun Time!

I used a hammer strength machine for abs, so when I was returning the 100 lb plates I used, I decided to do some farmer's walks. I did 10 shrugs, then walked across the width of the gym and back (like 50 metersish total?), then did 10 more shrugs, and set 'em down. I did three of the 50 meter walks, but only did the shrugs on the last two.

Aftermath:
I'm surprised the deadlifts went ok. I was beat after swimming.

Rest tomorrow :hsughr: I may go run, but it's doubtful. My legs would have to feel 100%, and I just don't see that happening. And I have a test tomorrow, so I wouldn't be able to run until after dinner. Shame...the weather is supposed to be very nice tomorrow.

Good job on the swimming then weights, its tough doing that. After swimming my upperbody and legs are usually worn out to do anything else. What swimming technique did you use?

What swimming technique did you use?
Yes :2:

I was on swim team in high school, so I know all of the strokes. My worst is backstroke...I look like some kind of whale trying to beach itself. I used to have a fairly decent butterfly and breaststroke, though. I mix it up, and also usually do some kickboard stuff, too, but the majority is always freestyle.

I was encouraged to join a swimming team back when I was 12. Never really wanted to, I just swam because it was fun. Breaststroke is my favorite way to swim, I basically just do this all time when I swim.

Overheads with 100s is pretty strong bro, you inspired me to go heavy again and worked my way up to the 115s! Have to admit I can't explain how I can go so heavy with those - I don't think I could match your dips - they're pretty impressive dude!

Great work with the deads, your grip is fairly strong. How you were able to swim for 30 mins and then pull off a good looking session deserves credit, repped!

h0ke: I think it's light for me :angrydude:

Hypo: It was nice to know I could hit that weight strapless with little difficulty.

Mak: 115s you say...:spy:

I had to wake up at 4:30 this morning for ROTC :ugh: It was a swimming workout, which really wasn't that hard. I went and had breakfast with some friends, and after that I figured I was awake so I might as well hit the gym:

185 lbs x 10
225 lbs x 5...
225 lbs x 4...

80 lbs x 10

How much sleep did you get? Waking up at 4:30 am to workout has to suck. Earliest I've got up to workout was 6:30am.

Those DB curls at the end of your workout must've gave your arms a crazy pump.

Nice sessions. Strong tri moves. Weird how your bench seems to be lagging by comparison.
Not that I can talk - my tris and shoulders are stronger than my chest by comparison.
Still impresive lifting given all the cardio you are doing.
