Watched GoodFellas last night. Joe Pesci played one nasty little bastard.

The Exorcist is good film but it's dated. It generated all this shock when it was released because nothing that came before it even compared. I don't think it holds up very well.

If you liked Goodfellas I'd go with Casino even though I haven't seen it. It's basically another long crime-drama from Scorsese with Pesci and De Niro and they say "fuck" more than any wide-release American film.

Don't watch Lets Go to Prison.

If you're familiar with the Roxbury sketches on Saturday Night Live and find them funny than you'll probably like A Night at the Roxbury. It's basically a long SNL sketch.

So basically: The Exorcist or Casino if you want to watch something serious, but be weary of Casino's length. ANATR if you're looking for dumb comedy.

^It's not too bad. Better if you let yourself get caught up with it. Casino is good and has some horribly violent monments in it.

Got 'The Princess Bride' today.

Not sure what to watch tonight: 'Once Upon a Time In America' or 'A Bronx Tale'

Saw a Japanese film called Zatoichi the other day that was really good.

Actually had characters with depth in an action film.

I want to see the seven samurai (swordsman cult flick)

Cult flick? Are you kidding? It's pretty renowned for being one of Kurosawa's masterpieces. I'll probably be watching Ikiru next though.

well over the last few days i watched a good bit of movies, some great and some average, none really that i hated.

Little Children- this was a great movie, such a deep dramatic film, the characters were all amazing, and the actors were chosen superbly.

Notes On A Scandal- another amazing movie, great story, great acting.

The Three Burials Of Melquiades Estrada- another very good movie, it was a bit long but it needed to be. Also i would like to say that Tommy Lee Jones spoke spanish amazingly, he truly sounded Mexican.

Alpha Dog- It was an okay movie, mostly cause i learned more about Jesse James(Hollywood). I thought it was very badly miscast. Especially Emile Hirsch, he does not have an ounce of tough gangster guy in him.

Cinderella Man- very touching story, great bio epic.

Million Dollar Baby- another very touching story, great performances, and damn it was pretty sad at the end.

^Some good choices there MM.

I watched 'A Bronx Tale' last night. De Niro's directing debiut and it was good. Solid debut, but in an area he knows only too well and that Chazz Palminterra was the main male lead acting in his screemplay of his own play he was gonna be good. Deals with some interesting (or at least interesting at the time) issues on race and stuff. Good film.

I have always liked that movie. I saw it for the first time when I was in 7th grade I think.

Ok, well I just saw Spiderman 3, and im going to go ahead and list the bad and good points of the movie. This is not going to be a biased review either, and I really like Spiderman, I thought the cartoons were pretty awesome. The CGI was great, even though there should have been alot more action then there was.

Good points: Umm.... well.... I thought the last fight at the end was pretty cool. I liked how Peter and Harry came together to save Mary Jane. Venom was pretty cool, there should have been alot more of him. That's about it. :e5dunno:

Bad points: Ok, first off I really thought Peters "alter ego" was really lame. His attitude kind of upset me at times, I dont understand what he was trying to prove by being a badass. And then everytime he hurt Mary Janes feelings, he had to cry about it and put his special black suit on again. Also, I really felt like I was watching some kind of other super hero movie, not Spiderman. I couldnt handle all the drama, and it didnt help that it had to drag on for so long either. They should have cut out alot of the drama and talked about the Sandman a little more. Oh, and I wanted more action. :tear:

Consenus: The action that it did deliver was really good, but not enough. Didnt like all the drama between Peter, Mary Jane, Harry, whatever Venom's character was (Topher Grace). Drug on to much.

It probably was the worst of the 3, unfortuantly. Im going to give it a.................. 5.96 out of 10.

I've just seen Spiderman 3 as well.

I was extremely disappointed. I think it can be summed up by this: "Buy the Spiderman 3 kids meal". Basically it wasn't made to qwell fans, nor bring characters to life in subtle and profound ways. It was meant to be a cheesy hamfisted kids film.

Thats why it sucked.
