^Indeed it was - the most expensive one made. I was gutted though - put it on and noticed there was a trailer for the XXX version and thought "What have I just bought?" Then noticed my version was 40 mins shorter than the XXX version - no sex. Who wants to watch a porn with no sex? Weak.

Bought 'The Grudge 2' today for £3.

i have to say Rocky that is the only movie ever in my life, that i have just stopped and couldn't finish watching it. It is so bad, i mean the first was bad enough, but atleast sarah michelle gellar saved it. grudge 2 is insanely bad.

i watched a couple of movies:

Alexander- i had put this movie off for so long. first of all i am a big fan of the warrior movies, the hand to hand combat, and all the old heroes. The reason i put this movie off for so long was because i heard about the bisexuality amongst men in it. I am not homophobic nor do hate the gays, but damn for me that ruins the whole big, tough, macho, hero aspect of Alexander The Great. I know there is evidence in history to back that up but, shit i think that should be left out. I finally wathced and had to say it didn't have too many gay scenes but the ones it did have ruined it for me, other than this i thought it was a great movie. the battle scenes were amazing. i still refuse to accept that these great warriors who according to history participated in homosexual acts. for me this is not true and i won't accept it, i just keep on viewing the heroes as great MANLY heroes.

Apocalypto- WOW, of course i had been waiting to watch this movie, number 1 because i am a big fan of Mel Gibson both his acting and directing, number 2 because it pertained to Mexican History. I was so amazed at the visuals, the scenery was spectacular, the costumes and make up were so real, the whole movie was so full of adrenaline, it felt as if it was the actual mayans on screen and the action scenes were so amazing. one more thing the violence was some of the most gruesome i have ever seen, gut wrenching throughout the whole movie. bad ass movie, oh and great ending, sets up a possible sequel. good job Mel. hopefully there is another sequel.

by the way i wish someone would go ahead and make a movie about the Aztec Civilization that would be one bad ass movie too.

Actually it was more of a cultural thing. Plus how else do you keep moral up? Spartans used to have the senior army guys fuck the junior guys so that it would get them to bond and work better as a team.

Accepted- 6/10 (funnier than expected)

Spiderman 3- 6.5/10 (big let-down)

The Island- 9/10 (very good; Michael Bay is a genius)

Insomnia- 7.5/10 (strange, yet kept me interested)

I want to see Apocalypto.
I didn't think the Grudge 2 was all that bad. It did what it set out to do. It was a variation on the Japanese sequel which again was directed by the same guy so he could have retread it for a new audience but changed it about a bit. And it had it's fair share of jumps and foreboding. The acting was shit - but when is it ever good in Horror films? It was still better than most of the tat Hollywood churns out as a so called horror.

The Island was good. Dont know if I would give it a 9/10 though.

We will see what Michael Bay can deliver with Transformers :food-snacking:

I think it will be typical Michael Bay - but with material like 'The Transformers' it will probably be wholly appropriate to his mega over the top stunt and FX extravaganzas!

No word on the cast yet. Hopefully it will be set on Eternia this time and Orko will be in it!

How long is the new pirates movie? 3 hours? I never really liked the first 2, probably won't like the third.

It was wayyy too long. They needed to cut at least a half hour from the movie.

Rocky, the final thirty minutes included a sweet battle scene. The ending was descent.

There is less than a minute of footage after the credits, although you'll probably want to jet out of there as soon as you can after watching it all.

How can you jet out when your legs are dead? Thats why i hate watching long movies in the theatre. Atleast i can pause it at home.
