What scheme do you use on your squats Pickolo?

hey bro,
took my 90% of my tested 1rm like wendler suggests(172)follow the 5/3/1 (so max sets are 80-95% of that 172). then after struggling with squats first cycle i decided i needed another back squat day so i use 60% of 172 for 5*10 with the intention of upping weight i will probably just up the weight cycle to cycle rather then session to session. but for now, ill up again next week and see how i go. lolol

miltary 5/3/1 the natzo tribute.

weak 2(pun intended) cycle 2 session 2 lololol
Military 5/3/1 supersetted with chins
took me 6 sets to get 50 chins :(
last set of 5/3/1 was 70kg*8 (p.b by 2 reps)

Push press
75kg*5, 80*5, 85*5, 90*5 (p.b previous pb was *3), 95*4 (pb never did this weight)

high row 5*15 @ 4 plates with pushups 5sets for 100 reps

(agrevated my trap doing chins at start so didnt fancy doign curls, side raises just went home, who knows what i could of push pressed if my trap wasnt giving me grief lolol, switched pushups to today instead of on bench day, i think it will crossover better for my 5/3/1 bench then db press will xoxoxo)

so far this week
deads@ 202.4325
military 1rm @ 88.648

290 total. hoping for a big squat on friday to make the bench target easy. hoping to still get above 600 total and so far ahead of last weeks 610:turborun:.

bam, update on trap injury. my goodness, i should of got out of the gym after 5/3/1 militaries. Ive had a similiair strain before and it usually subsides in a few days and is just moderately uncomfortable but this time its terrible. getting out of bed is sliding out on my left side and pushing up with my left arm. right arm and any sudden movement from my right side is aggravating a stabbing pain in my upper right back :O so far ive enjoyed, pain when opening my mouth, limited head turn ability, trying to use a spoon with my left hand and many other postures sending a stabbing signal through my right trap. fml lololol

wendlerites have noted good success with conservative 1rms and i dont mind being uber conservative on deads a move i have hurt myself on in the past, I dont mind sacrificing 1 lift for the sake of experimenting. from cycle 1 to cycle 2 so far in each session for deads my reps have gone up 2-3 with 5kg more on the bar. plus i saw that vid of that natty guy doing 5 plates for 27 reps i can really push it further. It does interest me to know how much i could pull fresh for 1 rep but i dont want to risk finding out till say next year. lollol
Oh, I understand the rationale behind what you're doing, I just don't have the fortitude (read: balls) to train like that anymore. Anyway, great pressing and congrats on all the personal bests. Rest and heal up and get that 610!

6@155kg on final set.
Goodmornings 5-10@60-70kg
Cable crunches 5*10
stretched and foam rolled my neck.

broof on the roof. (compared to what i normally do that felt like doing jack shit. lolol. my posture is atrocious at the moment(shoulders raised and forward,especially on the right side at least i can correct it today), i really wonder how i beat last cycles week 2 reps with more weight feeling like i do, ive got to be happy about that)

wilks total so far this week 476. Might still pull off a wilks pb with bench to go.

lol there was a guy behind me quarter squatting 140kg then he put on 160kg as if to say you may squat 155 deep but i squat more weight. :rofl3: he was even squatting without safteys in the rack. possibly because no rack would accomodate his depth anyway but lol in the lol.

I was going to suggest he load a bunch of weight on the bar and do a quarter squat with it but I like this much more.
