Just finished up a light lower session. Pretty good energy and weights I suppose.
Warm up: 5 mins stationary bike
Smith lunges: 135x25, 145x20, 155x15 Stiff leg deads: 185x15, 185x15, 185x15 Unilateral leg press: 4 platesx25, 5 platesx20, 6 platesx15 Roman chairs: x15, x15, x15 Seated calf raise: 135x20, 135x20, 135x18, 135x18, 135x18
Did 15 minutes low intensity cardio following my workout on the stationary bike. I think I might start doing this every light lower day because the workout doesnt really exhaust too much of my energy.
Hey buddy, good session and great pics. How long have you been training and how long have you been doing UB/LB training? Have you tried once a week before?
Braaq: I have been training for a little over 2 years. I did bodypart split for the majority of those two years. I just started the UB/LB split when I started my log like 2 months ago. I liked the bodypart split just fine but I felt I was due for a change so I went to this. I dont feel like I am making leaps and bounds of improvement since changing to this but it seems to work good and a little different so I will stick with it for a while.
Jockster: I really like them. I feel that when I go slow and really control the weight I get a great contraction in my hams and when I use my glutes to drive the weight up, I really feel them burn.
Rocky: Thanks my friend! I feel my endurance on the light days is improving!
Well just finished up a heavy upper day. I still had the same damn sharp pain in my left pec. It doesnt bother me at all until I lift and then it is sharp. After a few warm up sets it decreases in pain but it is still there. Doesnt affect my strength at all but still took it a little easy to be on the safe side.
Besides the chest still buggin, everything else went quite well! I am hoping that the next 3 days off from all upper body stress will help out the chest issue.
Vic: Thanks and lets hope they keep coming!
Rocko: yeah its just a lil bug for now. Thanks for the compliment!
miami: Appreciate it bro! my strength is gradually increasing!
Prince: Thanks bro! I'll get through the pain soon!
So I have been feeling pretty beat lately, waking up in the morning with back pains and then the whole chest issue and then I realized it has been a while since I've had a good break or deload so this week will be a little deload. I will still lift but my weight will be down, reps will be no where close to failure, and all direct spine loading and bent over movements will be eliminated for the week. I like to call it my "anabolic re-loading week"! Here is yesterdays leg session
Still got a good pump but I could tell that I didnt have nearly as much stress on the joints and low back. I think this will be a good week and should help me to work out a couple lil bugs in my training. I will continue with regular intensity on Friday most likely.
