So I have been flirting around with the idea of doing the NPC Washington Ironman in October of this year. I have really been wanting to compete again and I think I might do this show. Any input is appreciated.
Here is the guy that took first in light heavies:

Judging by these, I think I would more than hold my own.

Today I did a light upper session and it felt real solid.

Incline bench smith: 135x15, 135x15, 225x12, 225x12, 205x12, 205x10, 185x12
T-bar machine: 3 platesx12, 3 platesx12, 3 platesx10, 3 platesx10, 3 platesx10
Dumbell fly: 50x15, 50x12, 45x15, 45x12
Wide grip chins: bwx10, bwx10, bwx10, bwx8
EZ bar curls: 80x15, 80x15, 80x15, 80x12, 80x12
Triceps pushdown V bar: 170x15, 170x15, 170x12, 150x14, 130x15

I really like supersetting on these days because I really dont bullshit at all and I hardly do any sitting around. I really get to sweating and get in the zone with a great pump.

If you really wanna do it than why not. But you have to be 100% sure. otherwise you cant focuss enough.

Well went in today for my light leg day and found out that the gym was closing early for employee apprecation night (hey thats me!) so I only had about a half hour to bust out a workout. Nothing worth posting really. Just did some giant sets and beat it up as best I could! Heavy upper tomorrow!

Alright gang, today was heavy upper and I did things a little different. Instead of supersetting my whole workout, I only supersetted arms and took time for the big bodyparts to do them seperately. I allowed no more than 90 seconds rest inbetween sets.

Bench Press: 135x10, 185x10, 225x9, 245x7, 275x3, 275x3, 245x6
Wide grip chins: bw+25x7, bw+25x7, bw+15x7, bw+15x7, bwx+15x5
Standing barbell press: 145x7 145x6, 145x5, 145x5
Bent over rows: 275x10, 315x8, 315x8, 315x7
Close grip bench press: 205x8, 205x7, 205x7, 205x6, 185x7
EZ bar curl close grip: 120x8, 120x8, 120x6, 120x6, 120x5

Really felt good today. Didnt really notice anymore energy from not supersetting except for a little extra gas at the end for arms. The whole session took about 60 mins.

awesome creator.........but if i was to be picky, try and organise your supersets so that if your benching, which is a horizontal push, your then doing a horizontal pull such as a bent row.....there was a study which a dude one a nobel prize for in which he discovered how when you work one direction the opposing muscles relax and stretch giving a strength advantage etc..........something along those lines.....so wide grip chin/military press is a good coupling etc

Just finished up a heavy lower. I dont know what it was but I had a very good pump today and a gang load of energy.

Squat: 135x10, 225x10, 315x9, 335x7, 365x5, 365x4, 335x5
Sumo deads: 315x7, 315x7, 315x7 (still learning the motion)
Leg press: 20 platesx10, 20 platesx10, 18 plates x8, 18 platesx8
Calf raise on leg press: 5 platesx20, 5 platesx20, 5 platesx20, 5 platesx18, 5 platesx15

So thats it. Got in and got er done. I was pleased with my weight and reps on squats. I am definately getting stronger here. This was only my second time doing sumos. I really like how they feel in my glutes and hams which otherwise are hard for me to isolate. Light upper tomorrow.
