Young: I like it quite a bit so far. I dont think it is making a world of difference from the bodypart split that I used to do because I think, as long as your doing simple compound movements and not overtraining, growth is based on diet and intensity of training. I just took some pics and I will post them soon. I think I notice a little more thickness since I started it. I like the fact that the split allows me to hit my major muscles groups twice a week with different volume, weight, and rep range. I think variety is key and I always had trouble switching up my rep range because I just wanted to go heavy as I could but this forces me to constantly switch that up.
I am pretty pleased with these pics that were taken cold Friday night. I have definately put on some bf but I think that I am slowly adding some quality size. I am going to tighten up my diet now because I dont want to put on any more bf. It is very difficult to stay lean when I travel every weekend and they have a buffet of delicious shit for us every time! Feedback is appreciated.
Nothing too exciting but I feel it was a productive workout. I have been lifting by myself lately and I feel I am able to work a lot harder with a partner so hopefully some brothers of iron will step into my hardcore world and push my ass to the edge soon!
Lion: Appreciate it man!
Beau: Thanks bro! I'm an actor for a pilot tv series. Its just the same way as shows like "that 70's show" and "tool time" got started and most others for that matter. We film it now and then send it to networks to get bought.
DA: Thanks for the compliment!
MikeW: Gracias! I work my back pretty damn hard!
VBP: Uhm thanks! Its a little ahead of the front but not by much
Just had a brutal light upper day. Had a great pump and really beat it up. Really kept it moving today. I superseted as I always do but I did the whole workout with almost no rest inbetween.
Smith flat press w/ stop at the bottom: 135x15, 185x12, 205x12, 205x12, 185x12, 155x12 (OUCH!!!) Inverse row: bwx12, +40x12, +40x12, +40x10, +40x10, bwx12 DB fly: 50x12, 45x12, 40x12, 40x12 Close grip lat pull down: 190x12, 175x12, 175x12, 160x11 Preacher EZ curl: 85x12, 85x10, 75x12, 75x12 V bar triceps extension: 150x12, 150x12, 140x12, 140x12
I really like those smith presses with the stop. By actually taking stress off the chest for a second and then going back at it, it causes me to have to re-recruit those fibers with every rep and not rely on the elasticity of the muscle to move the bar back up. They burned like a bitch! I was very pleased with how full I was looking and I was hoping to get some pics but my w/o partner had to run right when we got done so maybe sometime soon.
