Boooooo :disgust:

Nice side laterals.

whats wrong with the smith machine when doing Military Press?

1.) it doesn't put unnecessary stress on my shoulders when un-racking the weight

2.) it also doesn't put quite a bit of stress on my lower back

maybe if I said Smith machine for squats, then you could say boo, otherwise...shut the hell up.

^ totally agree with you, smith machine for military presses are much better than free weight, for exact same reasons as you just said.

Either way nice workout, those dips are fucking great

I for one am a proud member of the so called 'girly men union for the use of the Smith.' I always use it for military presses; I feel Tweak outlined its pro's quite well. It keeps me from going below parallel(save those rotator cuffs), no arch or stress on the lower back, the weight stays on a tracked and cotrolled motion, and I don't need to worry about scooping the weight up from behind my stinking huge melon.

Oh, and your weighted dips puts you right back into my Magnificent Jerk category, Tweak; insane weight:ughnoes:

I agree with it but more for behind the neck presses for those same reasons, especially becuz its very easy to hurt urself doing behind the neck presses.....

holy crap....pull ups like a mother. you had a plate hanging off of you and banged out 5 reps for several sets! must have looked very impressive for onlookers. and i didnt know your hams were so strong. i dont get it, you have some areas that suck and then some areas that are great. your benching isnt great, your curls are kinda bad, and then your dips and pull ups are incredible, and apparently so are your leg curls. wtf is with you man? god you just piss me off some times....i'm going to go have an angry wank to your pool party pics.

:49:

My hammies are most definitely stronger then my quads, here I can still deadlift near 350 (355x3 is my PB) after dieting but my squat dropped ridiculously :tear:

When it comes to body weighted exercises, you should know by now that I excel with them quite well :xyxthumbs:

and my benching is descent now if you consider I only weigh 164lbs :e5dunno:

you should join us at the next pool party :gaygay: we need some sexy dark chocolate to join us :gaygay:

Hypo - thanks for your comments dude :xyxthumbs: must appreciated like always

its funny how two people that hate each other are the only ones to comment on my log so far :uhoh2: thats a bit eerie :skurred:

Simple session today

Close Grip Bench Press
175x3
175x3
175x3 <-- this set was the easiest of them all :e5dunno: My focus was quite a bit better this set though :e5dunno:

Tricep Pushdowns
85x6
85x6
85x6

Abs - lying leg pulley raises
50x10
70x10
80x10

^ most wont know what these are, with the exception of Paulie. So I'll attempt to describe them as best as possible.

1.) Place a flat bench inbetween a cable crossover setup
2.) Lower the attachment on the cable crossover to its lowest level
3.) Acquire Straps big enough to put your feet in tightly (I wear size 12 so its not that hard to find some that fit)
4.) Put feet in straps, lie flat on bench
5.) Scoot back to grab the other side of the crossover machine to hold you still
6.) Raise knees to chest

ask Paul how hard these are, because he really struggles tremendously with these. They are harder then they sound, but I advise giving them a go :xyxthumbs:

Other Workout TidBits: I did some machine lateral things for the first time ever, they went ok I suppose. I prefer Db Laterals though. I also did 3 sets of chest :e5dunno:

Calves

One Legged Standing Calve Raises (smith machine)
135x10
135x10
135x10

Two Legged Standing Calve Raises (smith machine)
135x15
135x15

^ hard contraction at top of each rep, felt excellent :xyxthumbs:

Forearms

Static Holds supersetted with Reverse EZ Bar Curl
75lbs for 30 seconds ss w/ 50x15
75lbs for 40 seconds ss w/ 50x15

heavy tricep training is key, keep going heavy and that thickness will build up, and will make all your other pushin mvements easier, always inspiring to stop by here, one of the hardest all around workers when it comes to fitness

I really like the sound of these. I will give them a go if I can get the equipment together.

You can do more weight on calves

You can do less weight on pullups :skurred:
