Try some timed holds and grip work like grippers and plate flips. One thing I know that helps me is to do like 50 or 60 pullups. Do a set every 20-30 seconds until you hit 50; by the end I only get out sets of 2-4. I used to do these on a rough metal bar; I don't know if that helps thicken your calluses but I imagine it would.
