Chest today, here it is:

10 minutes of treadmill and rotator cuff work

Flat barbell press

2 warmup sets

75kgx6
80kgx5
85kgx4
90kgx3
95kgx2
105kgx1
110kgx1
80kgx6 pausing alittle in the bottom
50kgx12 megaslov negatives, full pause for 3 seconds and explosive consentrics

no sets to failure

Normal incline press(about 35-40 degrees)

55kgx8
75kgx6
90kgx5
95kgx3 bar to the neck, for full upper peck contraction

chest dips:

me+20kgx6
me+30kgx4
me+40kgx4 full range of motion, focused on the lockouts.
mex10 slow reps

high incline press(about 65 degrees)

55kgx12
55kgx12 just to finish off the upper pecs:)

stretched good, then i did 3 sets of standing and 3 sets of seated calf raises:)

tomorrow is back, looking forward to some heavy ass rows already:2:

Rageking: ha! yeah negatives rock. im always extra sore the day after some sloooooow negatives. think its valuable for muscle gains, although i think its easy to overtrain doing em too often. i always make sure to control the negative portion of the rep though:)

Max: thanks buddy:) nah, the single sets are mostly just to get me accustomed to heavy weights again, and its also because i was getting tired of my old routine, just wanna spice things up alittle u know:) its not like im gonna do it forever:)

some increased weight on the flat bb press bro, nice. do you feel better you upper chest, doing incline of 35-40 or 65 degrees?, i always do both of them , but with more sets of a normal incline @ 35-45 i feel them better :2:

TKD: thanks again for ur continiued log love:) about the incline, i do like the normal degree better, but i need to focus on the form to get it right, i bring the bar to the neck, and then focus on squeezing the upper pecs. the high incline brings in alot the delts, but i do feel that it have contributed to improving my upper chest, which is where i feel i have made the most improvements this year. i no longer consider chest a major weakpoint:)

Pghi: the bench was nothing, no sets to failure, although i admit that the single with 110 kg felt heavier than it should off. we will c how 115 kg goes next week.

Hoke: thanks bud, i was most happy about the incline press to be honest:)

Big guns: thanks as always bro, ye im noticing that the creatine is kicking in again coupled with extra calories and carbs. i still have a way to go before im back to my old strenght level on chest tough. i could do 130 kg for a single last bulk, i doubt i could even get 120 kg atm. but i know its gonna come up as the bulk goes on:)

Prize: negatives is awesome, controlling the negative portion of the rep is key, and i feel it adds to my strenght alot. the dips i was pretty pleased with actually, thanks for noticing:)

Heavy singles are great for building strength and muscle density. I incorporate lots of them into my routines and my chest is by far my strongest muscle group.
