Banshee: Yeah, he'll probably be too hungover to lift today, then by this evening he'll want to go drink again :disgust: Oh well, gives me a little rest and a chance to do some running.
I love doing long runs (40+) outside, but they kinda suck on a treadmill or on a track. Stay tuned; next long day is going to be 50 minutes :ughnoes:

Iron: Thanks for stopping in!

FF: Haha, you're damn right. He was too hungover to lift today  Well, I don't know that he was hungover, but he was not up for lifting, that's for sure.

Just got back from a run:

30:50 total
4:40 warmup
22:50 medium paced
3:20 cooldown/striders

Abs

Aftermath:
Unfortunately, I had a fairly heavy meal about an hour before this. I didn't think it would affect me, but it did. I wanted to make it a hard 20-some minutes, but it was mostly a medium intensity workout. By the last 5 minutes or so of the 22:50 section my food had settled, so I took it out harder. It was probably a little over 7 minute mile pace at that point. Oh well, next time. I'm not sure if I'm taking a break from running tomorrow or not, but hopefully Line will be up for lifting at the very least. Until then, take it easy, everyone :xyxthumbs:

Never felt worse than running on a full stomach (okay thats a white lie....). Were you cramped, or just lethargic?

Sucks that you felt kinda crappy Glex. I get horrible sideaches whenever I eat before I run. When I did cross country in HS...I used to run entire races grabbing my side because of it. Everyone was like what the????

Good session regardless! Hopefully your workout buddy is done being drunk for a couple of days. ;)

Tim: It came in three waves, as it usually does: Wanting to puke, lethargy, and passing gas :xyxthumbs: Running: The All Natural Laxative.

Banshee: Haha, that would be weird to see. At least you finished the race, though. I can't tell you how many pansies on my team would slow down to a snail's pace (the top runner would even stop and quit) when they started getting cramps.

Chesty: Thanks, I laughed at it too, because no matter what Line would have us believe I know who did it :spy: Yes, I'm cutting of a sort...lost a few pounds so far.

Line: Actually, you'd better work on keeping your mother away from me :xyxthumbs:

Here's my half of the workout with Line today:

1-30-07
10:15-11:30

Squats

225 lbs x 8
225 lbs x 8
275 lbs x 6
275 lbs x 6
275 lbs x 6

Deadlifts
225 lbs x 8
315 lbs x 6
405 lbs x 1...PB :hammer::hammer::hammer:

Lat Pull-Down
150 lbs x 12
180 lbs x 8
180 lbs x 8

Hammer Curls
30 lbs x 12
35 lbs x 10
45 lbs x 8

Standing Calf Machine
180 lbs x 10
220 lbs x 10
260 lbs x 8

Aftermath:
Wanted to keep the squats light because I'd done a heavy day on them last time, and I just wasn't feeling very strong on the movement today. That also made it a good day to go for a PB in deadlift, and hoot-hoot-holla! I nailed it :xyxthumbs: First movement I've done to go over 400 lbs (other than leg press and calf exercies which don't really count). Kept the lat pull-downs a little lighter because I didn't want to use straps. That's all for now; running tomorrow :hsughr:

Tweak: You're right, I don't know who changed the title of my log...I only know that that person has bad grammar :49: Thanks for the approval :xyxthumbs:

Chesty: Nah. Besides, I can outrun Tweak, so it would be him chasing my ass :spy:

Speaking of running:

Running: 30 minutes total
10 minutes easy warmup
9:45 1.5 mile
10 minutes medium intensity with a fast 1/8 mile at the end to remind my muscles what's up

Aftermath:
I've only got to drop 9 more seconds to max the test :ughnoes: I generally drop about 10-15 seconds on test day, so I'm hoping that trend continues. That, and I was still sore from doing squats yesterday, so hopefully fresh legs will drop that time even further. If I max the practice test on Monday, I'll be happy; if I run it in under 9:30 I'll be slightly relieved.

Tweak: Thanks bud!

2-1-07
8:10-9:50

Flat DB Press

70 lbs x 10
85 lbs x 8
95 lbs x 8
110 lbs x 4...PB :hammer:
100 lbs x 6

Incline BB Press
165 lbs x 8
165 lbs x 10
185 lbs x 8

DB Shoulder Press
Sat more upright than Line and I usually do, hence the lighter weight. This more like what you were thinking, Tim?
50 lbs x 10
60 lbs x 8
60 lbs x 6

Giant Set
Front Raises
25 lbs x 12
25 lbs x 12
Lateral Raises
20 lbs x 12
20 lbs x 12
Rear Raises
20 lbs x 12
20 lbs x 12

Dips
BW x 15
BW + 45 x 10
BW + 90 x 3...didn't have it today, so I dropped
BW + 45 x 6

Underhand EZ-Bar Cable Push Downs
40 lbs x 12
50 lbs x 12

DB Shrugs
90 lbs x 12
100 lbs x 10
100 lbs x 10
70 lbs x 20

Cardio: 20 minutes easy on the elliptical
Abs

Aftermath:
Haven't done flat DB press in a good long time, it felt great. I wasn't planning on doing 185 on the inclines, but the second set of 165 went up so easy I had to...damn. Didn't have the stellar performance that I did last time on the 90 lbs dips, but I'm not worried about that; plenty of reasons why my workout should've been a fairly weak one today, and I made up for it other places. Shrugs felt pretty good; I left my straps at home so I wouldn't be tempted to use them. Cardio was pretty weak, but I already ran this morning for PT, so I just wanted to do something very light and low-impact. Goal was just to get my heart rate up and stretch my legs a bit.

Might have time to lift with Line tomorrow before I visit the GF, stay tuned :xyxthumbs:

I would not have approved of this session had I been there (probably because I would be complaining too much). Great job on the PB for Flat DB Presses. Maybe next time I'll have to do them too and show you how it's done :food-snacking:

That little dancing guy is Trademarked by Line Inc. You'll be hearing from my lawyer.

Chesty: You're right! I threw up my PB hammer, thanks.

Line: I don't need your little stick man, I use a manly Scottish hammmer-thrower. I'm leaving hopefully before 5 today, so let me know if you can lift mid-afternoon.

TO: Yeah, they weren't fun, feels great now though! :xyxthumbs:

Benching, dips and shrugs are top class.

You must have been very tired after all that - I count 27 sets and then cardio after too!

phwoar!

Just seen your 21 years at 215lbs. Heavy for your age. Your kinda tall which helps with the bodyweight.
