Oh no, Miami's trying to drag my ass back into the log section :ughnoes:

Rocky: It probably just seems mighty 'cause that's the one place that we're equals!

Bulkboy: I dunno about the 315 for a single...I barely got up 300 last year.

Chesti: :49: Why not?

Miami: :bowroflarms: I actually have been to the gym, but definitely not as much as I should.

I've been doing physical therapy which has just been eating my time up. I hate it and I don't want to go back, ever. My back feels a little better, but I don't think that's a result of the PT. It may have helped a little, but I seem to have reached a point where it's not getting any better and I don't think PT is going to help.

So, I got back to the gym for the first time in a long time a few days ago. I just did a full body workout to get back into it. I actually lost a little weight despite eating like crap and not working out for about two weeks. I thought most of that would be muscle mass, but I felt surprisingly strong in the gym, and I think I'll bounce back pretty quickly if I keep up with it.

Also, I'm kind of glad the break occured when it did. I got that stupid pain in my right arm again around when I stopped lifting (from climbing a tree :e5dunno:). It's still there, but I think I kept from aggravating it further, and it seems to be on the decline despite working out a few days ago.

Maybe I'll post up a few notes on my workouts, but they seem to go much faster when I'm not keeping a log and I like that. I can usually remember all my weights to post them in my log anyway, so we'll see about that. I

I really should get to all your logs, though, and I appologize for being a loser with that :wtcrun:

Yeah you loser! Post in my log!

Glad things are on the up and up and you hadn't lost too much during your break. I'm sure you'll be back to full strength in no time. Hope you do post up your log again!

Oh herro

Rocky: Strength is coming back quickly, thanks for your support as always :hsughr:

And you too, Turkish! I admire both your consistencies in the log sections given my recent lack thereof

I've switched to a different split in the interest of time:

Day 1: Chest and Biceps
Day 2: Legs and Triceps
Day 3: Back and Shoulders

Days off are whenever they happen :dunnodude: I'm really liking this for a few reasons. First off, it gets me in and out in just over an hour on days when I do a lot of volume, under an hour on just average days. Secondly, I feel like my triceps and shoulders suffered doing chest, tris, and shoulders all in one day. Putting them on seperate days seems to be helping (at least as far as weight moved goes). And finally, I like to do more than I was getting for bis on the legs/back/bis day, so that works out too.

I haven't been keeping track in a log book because that also seems to make the workout go a little faster. It's a pain sometimes when you can't remember exactly what weight to choose, but I'm enjoying the freedom of no log book to lug around. It may make an appearance later.

What I'm going to try to do is post my sessions when I come back so it's fresh in my memory. I can usually remember everything right after my workout, so that shouldn't be a problem.

So...anyone want to hear about me sessions?

Day 1 and Day 2 this week went swimmingly. My strength hasn't suffered too much on anything but legs which are pretty weak at the moment, but I anticipate them coming back pretty quickly. Was doing 225 lbs on bench pretty well, and did a good set of dips with 90 lbs added.

Here's what I did today:

10-26-07

DB Shoulder Press

50 lbs x 12
70 lbs x 8
80 lbs x 4

DB Side Laterals
35 lbs x 8
35 lbs x 8
35 lbs x 8

DB V-Raises
25 lbs x 8
25 lbs x 8
25 lbs x 8

BB Shrugs
225 lbs x 12
315 lbs x 10
365 lbs x 8

Pullups
BW x 8
BW + 25 lbs x 5
BW x 8
BW + 45 lbs x 1
BW x 8

DB Renegade Rows
80 lbs x 4...too heavy
70 lbs x 8
70 lbs x 8
Wasn't exactly what I was looking for...so I moved on.

Hammer Strength Low Row
180 lbs x 10
270 lbs x 8
90 lbs x 12...did these very slowly immediately after my 270 lb set

Abs and BW back extensions

Aftermath:

Feel pretty good. Back and traps are sore, so that's good. That's another thing I like; back and traps get worked together doing this split. Well, the NyQuil (actually generic NiteTime brand :keke:) is kicking in, night all.

Miami: Side laterals never seem to bother me, even with the various injuries I've had. I'll be careful though, thanks sweetie :hay:

Turk: Thanks man, I'll try to keep it up.

10-28-07

Flat DB Press

70 lbs x 10
90 lbs x 8
100 lbs x 7
100 lbs x 3

Incline BB Press
185 lbs x 4...guess I was beat :dunnodude:
155 lbs x 8

Chinups
BW x 8
BW x 6
BW x 8

Preacher Curls
75 lbs x 10
75 lbs x 10
75 lbs x 10
75 lbs x 6

Zottman Curls
Alternated Zottman Curls and then Zottman Curls in reverse
25 lbs x 6 reps each way, 12 total
25 lbs x 6
25 lbs x 6

Behind the back BB Forearm Curls
135 lbs x 10
135 lbs x 10
135 lbs x 10

Wide Bar Wrist Roller

Farmer's Walks

With the hundos :gaygay:

Abs

Aftermath:

Would've liked another rep on the 100 lb DBs, but we'll do that next time. Zottman curls were alright, Turkish, but I don't know if they'll be making a return appearance for me. To each his own.

Good to see you posting again and it looks like you haven't lost much strength.

DB presses are good and wouild explain the slightly less weight in the BB after I suspect. Hope you keep at it and the back holds up!

Well, just when I was starting to get back into things school rears its ugly head and keeps my nose to the books (mostly the computer screen, actually) for a week straight. Got back in today, though.

Quick update on my back situation: I went to an orthopedic surgeon and he said my problem should go away with time and just not to do anything that will put a ton of stress on my lower back. Unfortunately that means no squats and deadlifts for a while...not that they're my favorite all the time but they are a staple. You should've seen the look on his face when I even mentioned squats and deadlifts...

Glex: So I've been laying off the squats and deadlifts...
Doc: :hhj: "Oh God no!"

He literally said that :49:

Rocky: I'm trying to keep at it!

Miami: Yeah...I always neglect forearms so I try to get them in once in a while.

Heavy shrugs and i saw in one of ur previous workouts u did a farmers walk haha that's awesome that can really be tough. Great workouts man keep it up.

Great arm supersets. Good to see you are back again. Shitter about the deads and squats. I hope it isn't the same for me. But glad to see you working around the problem too!
