I hate shrugs generally speaking. Cleans, snatches, deadlifts, rack deadlifts are all better options for traps.

But other than that keep progressing and lift hard.

im trying to bulk right now. ive still got alot of work to do but its coming along alright.

You should do a clean bulk and hit the weights hard...plus i agree with tim but some barbell shrugs do work the traps pretty good...

i just thougt about starting a clean bulk i just havent decided yet. i agree with tim too i just like shrugs.

how do you suggest going about doing a clean bulk PV?

I'm no expert on that area but i would suggest the following

Calculate the amount of calories u need to mantain ur current wieght and add bout 500 kcals extra

All whole foods and shakes, no junk or candy

50% carbs, 35% protein, 15 % fat.


That's about it, there are other members who could advice you on this much better then i can!:xyxthumbs:

I posted an article about cycling nutrient intake (articles section). It is basically an overview of intake requirements for macros plus how to modulate your carbs around training days so as to stay leaner. Check it out if you haven't already.

Clean bulks are pretty much as PV described. Keep the foods complex so that you don't get insulin spikes (except PWO) and you tend to preferentially put on more lean tissue. But as I mentioned in your other thread, if your BF is high now then you would want to get down to low teens so that the bulk is more effective.

Well i just got back from my leg workout. It went pretty well. When it came time to do leg press there was a dumbass guy who was on the thing for like 35-40 mins. That fucker pissed me off to the point that i wanted to walk over and beat the shit out of him. Well after i finally got to do my leg press it was pretty good even though the pump in my leg was completely gone.

Good weight on your squats for the numbers your getting.

I know what you mean about people hogging weights, I get the same thing on the squat rack. There's a guy who comes in, and no exaggeration he spends at least an hour on it, doing something between good mornings and squats.

yea dude that sucks. this guy was really pissing me off today. this guy fucking talked to other people longer then he actually did the leg press.
