Recent movies I've watched: Boondock Saints, Fight Club, District 9, Gran Torino, Death at a Funeral, Step Brothers, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, and Rocky IV.

Probabably gonna watch The Departed tonight.

Also, I'm curious. What is everyone's opinion on District 9? I'm especially curious as to what you thought, Line.

I don't understand why this film gets so much hate. Its not the best Coen brothers movies but its not a bad movie either and definitely not a 3/10 movie.

It was just way to all over the place for me. I had issues keeping up with whatever story line it had.

I've got District 9 lined up to watch this weekend. Looked interesting.

I enjoyed this movie aside from about the last 10mins or so. I'm sure they missed some aspects in the plot or storyline that made this ending work and be a logical progression. I also think that it missed some opportunities to address some of its larger themes more cohesively.

Commando - again
"What happened to Sully?"
"I let him go!"

Red Dragon - again
No Silence of the Lambs, but still haunting.

I never had that problem. All seemed pretty straight forward to me.

You're probably just really dumb, thats all. :linedrunk:

Ouch, you gave Snatch a 4? What didn't you like about it? Its at least a 7 or 8.

I felt like the whole film was improvised. The screenplay seemed to be written up in every actors head and was told to do their best based off of memory, and to create the character how you think it should be created. I never felt any connection to the film, and I think most of the blame for that should be on Ritchie. I haven't seen any of his other films, but from what I hear, it's nothing to write home about.

There were good ideas, but the mind that came up with the ideas never took control of them, or just doesn't know how to display them on screen.

Saw Inglourious Basterds last week. Not Tarantino's greatest but still an enjoyable movie and great work by the lead actors. 7/10

Hollow Man - 6.5/10
Its still a great movie. Kevin Bacon steals the show.
I think Kiefer Sutherland would of done a good job in the lead role as well...

^^ I think you are right. Although Kiefer at that stage was probably still roping cows.

He did some really interesting movies just prior and just after his hiatus.
