Imma go watch Zodiac.

Give me your thoughts about it. I want to see it. :xyxthumbs:

Just finished watching 12 Monkeys. It was a really strange movie and quite hard to follow. You either knew what was going on, or you didn't. Brad Pitts role was very good, he played an excellent crazy. Overall, it was pretty good. Luckily I was able to watch it without an distractions, and I still barely got a hold of what was going on. :hhj:

Zodiac is the best film of 2007 so far. 12 Monkeys is a really good flick but I don't understand what you found confusing as everything came full-circle pretty well towards the end. As far as Gilliam's major works are concerned I found it actually more restrained and easier to follow. Try renting Brazil if you can; it's his masterpiece.

It did come together at the end, that's when I figured out ever thing that was happening. :dunnodude: I'm not sure what I found so hard to understand, maybe I thought more was occurring that there really was. However, I did get pretty shit faced last night and I'm slightly hung over right now, so that didn't help either as my head kind hurts right now. :tear:

Zodiac was good. For once i didn't get bored watching a movie. I watched it all the way through. Great stuff.

I have 2 questions. How did the first male and second male victims survive? The first guy was shot a few times, then zodiac came back to finish him off. Next we see he is out of the car and still alive?!?! Then the guy in the park that gets stabbed in the back 10 times, while being tied up. How did he survive?

Maybe i missed something. Fill me in..

Glad you liked it. It's weird to think that a 2.5 hour film can go the duration without being dull.

Anyway, I don't really have a great answer for either question because it has been so long since I've seen it (though I'll be purchasing it soon). I'd have to go back and consider where the first guy in the car was shot and The Zodiac did in fact go back and shoot him point blank or if he shot the girl, etc...The second guy at the park merely just survived the stabwounds which, while an unlikely occurrence apparently did happen because most of the killings and stories were based on actual reports.

I quite like Stir of Echoes.

That is all I have to say.

Watched Pursuit of Happyness last night. Nothing spectacular just a nice film.

I've read these books, and it looks like these movies will be amazing!

I know this was in the previews for Harry Potter:

What do you think?

^^Never heard of the books, but the preview looks good to me. Considering the fact that law enforcement deaths are at an all time high in the US right now, I'm all for a plesant distraction.

^Meh. Doesn't look like my bag.

Finally watched Casino Royale last night.
It was good but not the "departure" from the other Bond's that everyone said it was.

I liked Casino Royale, but they really didn't put together a movie. Where it should have been more defined that he was moving up the bad guy food chain and that with the (whatever the card player bad guy's name was) wasn't the top yet. That way it wouldn't have had the lulls in the story and pace of the film that it had.

For the record Sean Connery>Daniel Craig>every other Bond.

Watched Gladiator again tonight. It was probably 10x better the second time around, and the first time around I thought it was really good. The film probably has one of the best soundtracks i've ever heard, and the music is what really puts the mood into the scenes. Russell Crowe did a brilliant job, and even Joquain Phoenix, he's one hell of an actor. :xyxthumbs:

For the record...

Gladiator
> Braveheart :food-snacking:
