Looks like we're headed into World War III, Russia just threatened the U.S. against attacks on Iran. This is how it will all start.

-> U.S. attacks Iran
-> Russia allies with Iran and the entire middle east
-> Great Britain allies with the United States
-> China allies with Iran and Russia
-> Majority of Europe joins in due to the U.S. saying "you're either with us or against us"

If we're going to piss somebody off, i'd rather it not be a country with 12,000 nuclear bombs.

They dont have the capablility to do so, they may have more people but the majority of their population is poor and becoming more and more democratic which means they will oppose the war and not want to join up. Secondly they would go under economically because they rely on us importing their exports. Also their military is very out dated at the moment, their subs are post WW 2 era (most of em) and their planes are mostly old migs from the 80's. They are not as big of a threat as everyone makes them out to be, they cannot attack us directly but we can attack them. Numbers do not count anymore, this is not the ancient days where numbers give you an advantage.
Russia is nothing to worry about either, they can not economically sustain a war with us for long trust me.

Ahhh true they are loaning us a lot of money, however, they would not survive economically if we go under as well. So I dont think that they would be dumb enough to do that.

Isreal could easily whipe out Iran by itself, the only reason we do not let them is because of stability in the ME for our oil imports from them. That and the rest of the Arab world will unite against us and them if that happened. Iran is weak, the same military that we mopped the floor with in Iraq when we marched into Bahgdad almost annihalated the Iranian military in the 80's. Their top plane is the F-14 tomcat that we retired years ago... Israel has nothing to worry about and will be a great asset in that possible but unlikely war.
Russia is touting all this BS because Putnin wants Russia to become a world power again and key player when it comes to International situations. The truth is that they can only bark but do not have the capability to bite.

Oh i wouldnt say Israel could easily wipe out iran, do u remember what happened in july-august 2006? the israel Hezbollah conflict. i think that showed us that Israel are really not that strong. Hizbollah, a guerilla group supported by Iran here defeated israel.

What will happend if Israel attacks iran is that they will not just have to wage war against 8000000 iranians, but they will also be attacked from the north by lebanon and hezbollah, and maybe also syria will join in. And fact is that Israel is already occupied at the gaza strip with making the palestinians life a living hell.

Also Irans military is not weak dude, they have the possibility to draft 3 million soldiers. We are talking about a 80 million people country here, with 50000 trained suicide bombers. If u think iraq is hard to stabilize, u can just forget about Iran. bombing them would lead to them bringing the war over to iraq, and making it impossible to stabilize it.

About russia, they may not be what they were, but 40000 nuclear weapons will always speak for themselves

Israel Warns World War III May be Biblical War of Gog and Magog

US President George W. Bush said a nuclear Iran would mean World War III. Israeli newscasts featured Gog and Magog maps of the likely alignment of nations in that potential conflict. Channel 2 and Channel 10 TV showed the world map, sketching the basic alignment of the two opposing axes in a coming world war, in a manner evoking associations of the Gog and Magog prophecy for many viewers.

The prophecy of Gog and Magog refers to a great world war centered on the Holy Land and Jerusalem, and first appears in the book of Yechezkel (Ezekiel). On one side were Israel, the United States, Britain, France, and Germany. On the other were Iran, Russia, China, Syria, and North Korea.

US President Bush said Wednesday [October 17] during a press conference that Iran attaining nuclear weapons raises the risk of “World War III.” “If Iran had a nuclear weapon, it’d be a dangerous threat to world peace,” Bush said. “So I told people that if you’re interested in avoiding World War III, it seems like you ought to be interested [in preventing a nuclear Iran]…I take the threat of Iran with a nuclear weapon very seriously.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Iran Tuesday and slammed the United States’ refusal to rule out the use of force against Iran’s nuclear project. “Not only should we reject the use of force, but also the mention of force as a possibility,” he said. Russia has blocked tougher sanctions in the UN Security Council, where it has veto power. Putin asserts that there is no evidence Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons rather than a peaceful nuclear power program.

Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni called for a new UN Security Council resolution against Iran at a press conference following her meeting with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice Wednesday. “I do believe there is a need for another Security Council resolution,” she told reporters. “In the past, the need to get everybody on board—including Russia and China—led to some compromises on the nature of the sanctions. I hope this will not be the case this time.”
