Hey champ, how come you dont use straps?

Bad grip strength should never keep you away from lifting as heavy as possible imo :)

throw those straps away makker, your hands need to be vices ;). In fact your hands must be so strong that you can break somebodies hand hahah

Normally i would say the same as you, but i dont see the reason to throw the straps away. If he cant lift 100% because of his grip, i say use straps when your grip is failing, and then do some grip training afterwards to make up for the loss.

Grip training doesn't take long - 10 minut max!!!

And if you go with that approach, you'll get an awesome and heavy deadlift and at the same time train your grip.
