Rageking: you would be surprised at how easy it is. Most of the effort is getting everything measured and laid out on a flat surface.

It is now time for another installment of my upper body training:

^^ Thanks dude. I'm about 8kg away from 1.5xBW for 5 reps which would be awesome.

Once I get that I might go back to getting a few 1 arm chins.

Nice efforts. You should go for a more controlled split as you catch the bar in C&J. Your feet are all over the place and your heel drifts inwards. Both feet should point straight ahead. You can enhance balance by landing the feet a bit wider apart. This is what I can see from the vid, as the angles are kinda weird, but I'm sure you'll get some others soon :2: Looking forward to the squats as well guy :gaygay:

^^ Yes my split does appear to suck. I'm also doing it on the garden path which is only so wide, which is probably not helping. So I should practice some splits drills :xyxthumbs: Once this phase is finished I'll go to deadlifts, snatch drops, some splits drills (which I'll do as warmups now), and hang cleans and snatches.

Oh I should be squatting right now but it is absolutely pissing down with rain. So I descided to leave it till tomorrow.

^^ Thanks dude. I might video tomorrow's front squats (that should have been tonight, we've had 20mm of rain) and put it together with the chins.

Of course now I have to think of something funny to say in the credits, lucky I left myself plenty of leeway with the last one.

Lionheart: I like to think I'm not a weakling, but then I see some of the other numbers posted around the place:crymeariver:

Rageking: I like the idea of having half a dozen reps at weights that are considered strong; i.e. the 1.5xBW bench, 2.0xBW squat and 2.5xBW deadlift. That way even if you meet really strong guys there is still the nod of "well done" rather than "pussy".

Skeptic: Yeh rain here is kinda rare. We have had something like half our normal seasonal rainfall (which is better than last season). That 21mm the other night was more than we had last month!

Bulkboy: I'm a little down on the inclines. My bench isn't the greatest bench to press on especially for inclines. It has a flat seat and is rather smooth so you tend to want to slide off the bench towards the end of set :ughnoes: I just remind myself that Steve Reeves used to do his inclines on a board lent against a wall.

Big_guns_lance: :hsughr: I'm hoping to add some weight to them both soon. I'm doing a double progression so more sets first :xyxthumbs:

Hypo: On tonights set of master mind we have a special challenger :techn9ne:

Last nights leg session was kinda lame. The SLDL and donkey calf raises went fine but I really had to warmup a lot before I felt comfortable doing anything. It was rather cold out and we had another shower of rain as I was getting into things that made it even chillier. So when I got to front squats the lameness started as I got 2 reps with what should be my 5RM (goal was 3 reps). I really struggled to keep my form tight. :disgust: At least I managed to video the squats, although it was rather dark when I was doing them.

Welcome to the lameness

Warmup:
Rather extensive; jump rope, lunges, GM's, single leg SLDL, OH Squats, leg swings, knee swings, calf pushes.......

Work:
SLDL
60x5
80x5
100x3
120x5
120x5
120x5

Donkey calf raise
35x8
45x12
45x15
45x15

Front squat
60x3
100x2
120x2
120x2 (vid)
120x2

Hammy curl
24.5x6
24.5x5

Standing calf raise
120x10
120x10

Free squat
20x15
20x15 (felt terrible on my knee)
