good work btw...the squat numbers look good bro

TO: That's so beat about being on the 'fat boy' list! :49:

Speaking of the fitness test, I have the funniest picture from the run! My friend snapped it as I was crossing the finish line (the blue line at my feet). I had to sprint the last half a lap to make it under the max and I was not happy about it, as you can see by my face. Because he took the picture right as my foot was hitting the ground, it looks like I'm being hit in the face with an invisible two by four :bowroflarms:

FF: I had to look up 'scatty' :49:

Tim: I may have looked slightly less ridiculous :e5dunno:

Tweak: Thanks bud!

Eric: It's exactly it looks like :49: Thanks for stopping in :hsughr:

Iron: When I can do 20 period I'll be happy :tear:

Alright, here's the skinny:

2-14-07
Happy Valentine's Day!
10:15-11:50

Decline DB Press

70 lbs x 12
85 lbs x 10
95 lbs x 6
90 lbs x 8

Alternating Hammer Strength Iso Incline Press
140 lbs x 10
180 lbs x 10
200 lbs x 8

Seated Military Press
135 lbs x 10
165 lbs x 3...:tear: was light last time
145 lbs x 8

Reverse Pec Dec (16 possible settings)
8 x 10
10 x 8

DB Skullcrushers
30 lbs x 12
35 lbs x 10
40 lbs x 8

BB Shrugs
225 lbs x 12
275 lbs x 10
315 lbs x 10

Gripper
90 lbs x 20
135 lbs x 12
135 lbs x 8

Abs
Cardio: 20 mins on a bike

Aftermath:

Nice quick workout. Mil press was a little disappointing, but that's such a scatty exercise for me (did I use that right, FF? :49:) DB skulls went really well, I think that's a PB but I hardly keep track anymore; just on some of the big movements. Got in those grippers on advice from Tim. The machine is kinda weird, and I don't like it. The first two sets I was pulling with my body too much instead of just closing my hands. Hopefully it helps, though. We'll see. I'll try and talk Line into doing some legs and back tomorrow, stay tuned :xyxthumbs:

whats with that decline press, you can flat the 105s, you should be declining the 110-115lbs if you do them first? Another reason you totally confuse me

military press doesn't look to shabby, skullcrushers dont look too shabby either

heres the skinny

yea you better be doing grippers

girly ass grip :spy:

nice cardio too girly man :xyxthumbs:

I love you :spy:

Tweak: Well, I don't lift decline at all with Line, and I'd been out of the gym for like two weeks. I think what's more confusing is your incline bench compared to flat :spy: Yeah, I do have a girly grip :tear: Working on it.

Iron: I hear that. Someday :ughfingers:

Nature: More like I was gonna heave :49:

Line finally came out for a session again, and here's how it went down:

2-25-07
5:15-6:50

Squats

225 lbs x 8
225 lbs x 8
275 lbs x 6
315 lbs x 2
275 lbs x 6

Seated Leg Curls (16 possible settings)
8 x 10
12 x 8
10 x 10

Calf Raises
215 lbs x 12
275 lbs x 12
315 lbs x 10

DB Rows
110 lbs x 10
130 lbs x 10

Standing DB Curls
30 lbs x 12
40 lbs x 10
45 lbs x 8

Abs

Aftermath:
Took a while, but all in all a good day. I wanted to go run, but the treadmills were all taken. So I was going to go up to one of the indoor tracks, but when I got my stuff together to leave I had a phone call I had to deal with and things just didn't work out. I'll probably get some in tomorrow, though.

Tweak: Thanks bud. The set at the '12' setting didn't feel too good (hence the drop). 10 was just about right, though.

Chesti: Yeah...that it does. I was thinking about racking it after 4 on the second set of squats at 275...then Line says, "Oh, you got two more!" Shit :49:

I've lifted three days in a row now, which is alright because nothing was sore except my chest (which is why I didn't go crazy on it).

Cardio:
25 minutes running (easy...a little under 3 miles? :e5dunno: )
Six 50 meter striders

Aftermath:
I didn't know what I was going to do today. I almost didn't bring my log, but I'm glad I did because I was inspired to do this for some reason. It was damn quick; probably about 50 minutes from bench to Hercules Hold. I brought back the upright rows because I haven't done 'em for a while...Tim advised against them because of stress on the shoulders and because they don't do quite as advertised. Doing them with DBs seems to help that, but even the 60 pounders were causing undue stress on my joints. 50 lbs seemed just right. I hope you enjoyed the day of supersets :xyxthumbs:

Running: 31:32, 7:46 min/mile average pace

Took the first mile out relatively fast (6:45) and then just kept up about an 8:15 pace for the last 3 miles.

Abs

Aftermath:

Good run. I was such a cocky bastard in my head to all the people I was passing. Thankfully no one fast was there to damp my ego :49: I just hope I can take it easy at PT tomorrow morning. For some reason, though, our genius cadets in charge always think it's a good idea to kill everyone after they've had a week off. Then, without fail, the workouts will regress to the status quo. Let's get progressively easier, not harder! :disgust:

even though you run outside
in the gym i see people get on a bike or recumbent one
and pedal faster than me and always look to my side
and 90% of the time my eyes are closed so i don't flip out like the hulk who got his balls cut off.
still thats a hell of a running session, very, i get paranoid when i do bike riding round my town
cus im afraid either id get hit by a car, shot at, or some deer chasing me.

Dam man, I was thinking of doing supersets today, very impressive. But I'm guessing you'd have awesome stamina, so you'd be able to handle it. What's a hercules hold dude?

Hypo: Actually, I ran this inside on a track. If it weren't so cold I'd be outside.

Chesti: Thanks man :xyxthumbs: My stamina is pretty good; all that cross country and swimming in high school. A Hercules Hold is an event from the World's Strongest Man competitions :49: People look at me so funny when I do it...I do it where you would do cable crossovers. I load up as much weight as the machine has on either side, yank the one handle over to the other side, reach up and grab the other handle, let it pull me to the middle, and then I hold them both as long as I can. Sometimes it's hard to get a good grip, but it's a lot of fun. I wouldn't want to do it all the time, though, seems like a good way to hurt the joints if you did it a lot. Here's a video.

Actually, I wonder if anyone has any thoughts on how bad it is? I remember Tim talking about stress on the shoulders during dead hangs, but it doesn't feel too bad...
