Finished Alien, onto Aliens... I've been getting scenes from these two mixed up for a while now.

Watchjed a french film called 'Martyrs' last night - most peculiar.

Masculin, féminin is likely my new favorite Godard film, which is impressive considering I've seen about fifteen others by good ol' Jean-Luc. It may be worthy of top 10 consideration.

Please admit you just watched it because of the 4-way sex scene.![]()

I gave it a 6/10. :gaysign:To all the Slumdog haters: Line was right, he usually is.

I didn't mind that too too much, as it was largely a fairy tale, though a fairy tale set in a contemporary society. My problem was that the movie did a fair job in presenting and reflecting this society and its problems but ultimately sided heavily with fate and chance versus academia and cognition. That, and the narrative is essentially a giant gimmick, though one that's not unsuccessful.I'd say a 7/10.
Not good enough to rate higher as it was too schmaltzy.

That and too many dutch angles, though the cinematography was apt as a whole, especially in evoking light and space where there's none to be found.
For LINE -
their making a sequel for Taken
Watching Rocknrolla, by far not Ritchie's best effort.
Conclusion: entertaining but not great, 6/10.
