nah i just need to get back into 5/3/1 properly. i am intrigued by the link i posted doing it on my off days.

I did a couple of cycles of incline bench instead of MPs at the beginning of the year. Its a Wendler approved move.

I can't comment on the T-nation link as I've never paid any attention to it and don't want to waste my D/L limit on it either.

Go for 5/3/1 and just pick exercises that you enjoy for accesory work. IMO those are what make the program be fun or a nightmare.

hes talking about a circuit type training to help prime ur nervous system. he is vague on how many rotations to do(he says walk out before your anywhere near tired) and rest he says 15 seconds to 2 minutes if your cardios not so good. but he says clearly 4-5 exercises 3-5 reps 60-70% of 1 rm for upperbody moves, 30-40% for lower body, plymotetric and olympic lifts 60% as options for station but only compound moves. He recommends it on days of heavy lifting or when u have a test or on an off day because it has longer then 24 hr carry over of keeping you primed. So a sample circuit would be

Snatches 3 reps
Bench press 3 reps
high jump 3 reps
medicine ball throw 1 rep

then u repeat.

yeah good advice. im hoping ill get my military press back on and then ill just revert back to triumverant 5/3/1 and try to systematically get stronger on assistance work, otherwise it will be boring. i also like frequency so ill do probably this

militaries,db bench, chins
squats, SL deadlifts, situps
bench, chins, high row
Cleans, deads, squats

just did one of those circuits from yesterday
stopped when i got a bit puffed which didnt take long.
did clean and press, dips, jumps, chins and used straps as it recommended, feel like i just had a good warm up. lol ill see if it continues onto my deads tommorrow.

cleans 65kg*5, 70*5, 75*5, 80*5, 85*5 good to hit 85*5 again. I thought i was cursed lolol
Deads 5/3/1 week 3 115*5 130*3 145*14 P.B wanted 15 and planned to do 7 reps overhand 4 over under each way but grip was really slipping on 14th rep on my right underhand.
Calf raises 2*20 seated @60kg
Db bench 35kg*6, 40*6, 45*6, 50*6, 55kg*3 meh did another 10 with 35kg immediately after to learn myself. i would of locked out for 4 with left but my right arm wasnt budging lololol.
