Bulkboy: I'll post numbers as soon as I get into a good gym.
Beno: Haha, yeah, it sucks knowing I have to go to a crappy gym.
BigE: Thanks for stopping in! No worries, man, life gets crazy sometimes.
Hit up some running today:
Running: 35 minutes
Medium pace. Running is starting to get easy again, which means I get to start mixing things up Only problem with that is the running around here sucks; I'll have to find a high school or something to run around. Then again, maybe I don't need to worry about it so much because I also want to swim and bike this summer.
^^ I'm on break but I just got a job And I'm planning on joining a decent gym now that I have money
Did some running at the local high school today and did an upper body session after:
Running: 28:30 minutes total
6 minute warmup
1.5 mile run - 9:40
12:50 minute cool down/run/interspersed with pullups on the soccer goals (I stopped the watch)
Then I did:
Machine Bench Press
Standing DB Shoulder Press
Superset: DB side laterals and shrugs on the bench press machine
One arm t-bar rows
Various tricep exercises
Alternating DB Bicep Curls
Abs
Aftermath:
I'm a little disappointed I didn't hit 9:36 on the 1.5 mile run (that's the ROTC max), but I did some 40 yard dashes after the warmup 'cause Tweak wanted to know my time, so I'll blame that . I think the fastest I recorded was 5.19, but that's without blocks and timing myself so I'd probably be in the high 4s.
Well, I was a runner before I was a weightlifter and I like running. That and it's one of the easier ways for me to lose weight, along with swimming. Right now losing weight is my priority, even if I have to sacrifice some muscle (which will surely happen, especially in the legs!). Also, I'm debating doing a triathalon later this summer. So there's a few reasons, and I'm probably also a little psychotic and masochistic.
Speaking of which:
Running: 54 minutes
I took the first half and second half out in the same amount of time, which is odd considering the second half has way more upwards hill action satisfaction The hills were long and the sun was hot today, boys Also threw in a few striders and some abs aftewards.
well running for 54 minutes man i'm sure u can do a triathalon man that's just plain crazy. I commend you for being a hardcore cardio freak(lol mean that in a good way).
Turkish: I like running The running around here sucks, though I only have one option from our apartment, otherwise I have to drive to go running. So in that respect, it is getting a little boring.
Dstan: Yeah, I've done a triathalon once before. My goal will be to beat all the women this time
BigE: I frequently drive 3 hours to see my girlfriend during the school year, too. I must have a longer attention span than I thought Sara's job has me in Monroeville for the summer, I'm working at the Denny's here.
Fallen: Actually, I've debated it before. I think I do want to do a marathon at some point; if it goes well this summer I might start some marathon training into the school year and do one in October or November, but I haven't put any serious thought into it yet. I probably won't get into it this year, but we'll see.
Like I told Eric, I finally got a job I'm waiting tables at a Denny's...meh, it's money, right? Today was my first day, and I only spilled drinks on one person Other than that I picked it up easily; I worked in a restaurant for a year. We'll see how my training suffers from the job, though, because my legs are tired now!
everyone on here is doing a regular amount of cardio
i barely do one session a week, and im getting leaner
weird, huge breakfast, large meal before a workout
then just some milk, and shit before bed.
keep up that cardio!!!
